Technology has revolutionized connection, teaching and learning. The COVID-19 pandemic has led most states to close schools, some indefinitely, in a major disruption to education. The closures have impacted nearly 55 million students nationwide so far, according to data from Education Week and hundreds of thousands in Western Pennsylvania. In lieu of attending classes and Club programs in person, many parents/guardians are seeking out online resources, apps and games to keep their kids’ minds engaged at home.

At BGCWPA we are missing our members and the youth we engage in our outreach programs. So we’ve launched our InstaClubhouse program, an enrichment program of BGCWPA offering LIVE “synchronous” videos and pre-recorded “asynchronous” videos about topics in STEM, reading, career readiness and more for K-12 students. We’re also holding free weekly evening test prep sessions for HS students from 7-8 PM on Thursdays!

Online learning can also help support children’s social emotional needs and have a powerful impact on children’s behavior. Join. us daily for LIVE videos where our staff lead activities to enhance academics but also lead fun contests and conversations. Youth can win prizes, meet members and other youth from across all of our BGCWPA Clubhouses and School Districts as well as pick-up some new skills!
