On Wednesday, August 5th, over 120 participants joined special guest Smokey Robinson for a virtual celebration of BGCWPA’s youth!

We would like to take this time to say THANK YOU to all who offered their time, passion and generosity to help raise over $175,000!!!!!!!! That’s a record!!!!

Event Highlights:

Participants were delivered Common Plea Catering charcuterie boards and Smokey Robinson wines right to their doorsteps to enjoy during the event!

VIP guests enjoyed one-on-one time with Smokey Robinson during the Mix & Mingle! Smokey revealed his favorite album, his favorite golf course, how he got into singing and so much more!

BGCWPA CEO, Dr. Lisa Abel- Palmieri, spoke of the mission of Boys & Girls Clubs and why the annual gala is such a critical event to continue supporting the over 12,000 youth served annually. Participants viewed BGCWPA’s ReMEMEBR, ReIMAGINE, ReINVEST campaign video 

Country stars Dillon Dixon and Max Flinn hosted guests in a virtual song writing competition! Dillon followed up with a montage of Smokey Robinson songs for all to enjoy!

Smokey Robinson gave his keynote address that included his experience as a Boys & Girls Club member and how the clubs impacted his life and successes

Nick Cindrich from BGCWPA Carnegie Clubhouse was awarded the 2020 Youth of the Year with a $2,000 scholarship thanks to Rohrich Toyota!

Vince Morales, CFO of PPG and BGCWPA Board Member, accepted the 2020 Champion of Youth award on behalf of PPG! Vince spoke of the growing partnerships between PPG and BGCWPA, especially when it comes to the Artificial Intelligence Pathways Institute and Teen Accelerator program

Raffle, auction and Catch Me at MY Clubhouse winners were announced!

Max Flinn finished out the evening with some original music
