CCAC and BGCWPA Partner to Offer Teens Early College Programming – FREE

Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania is thrilled to announce a new partnership with Community College of Allegheny County’s Early College Program! Allegheny County high school students are invited to take part in this exciting opportunity. The Early College Program at CCAC is designed for students that want to become successful leaders inside and outside of the classroom, gain college readiness experience, and have the opportunity to earn college credits in Accounting, Business Management, or Computer Information Technology before graduating. All college level credits earned can be used to complete an Associates degree or transferred to a four-year institution.

Teens who participate in the program through Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania will also receive the following benefits:

  • $150 stipend upon completion of course with a passing grade
  • Free transportation (via bus passes)
  • Laptop provided to complete course work
  • Individual attention from Career Coaches to support the enrollment process, course success, and college and career planning
  • Free teen membership to all BGCWPA teen programs!

Completing CCAC Early College credits with Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania will be a great opportunity for teens in our area to get a head start on their college careers at no cost, and with the guidance of our Career Coaches teens can feel confident in planning for their futures.

In order to be eligible, teens must attend regular in-person sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays evenings at the Estelle S. Campbell Clubhouse (Lawrenceville) or the Career Works Mon Valley Clubhouse (McKeesport). There may be an option to complete some sessions remotely (from home) if maintaining a passing grade.

Registration deadline is September 30th for the fall semester – complete this interest form or contact Emily Donato at edonato@bgcwpa.org to join us today!
