Janie Messina

Janie obtained a Bachelor’s Degree from Duquesne University in Middle-Level Education before earning a Masters in Special Education. She worked in early childhood education for 4 years, before substitute and student teaching at the middle school level. Janie worked at Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh as a Teen Specialist for 3 years, taught STEM classes after school in different Pittsburgh elementary schools, then joined Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania for the opportunity to utilize her prior experiences in one role.
