Empowering and Educating Through A Vegetable Garden

Today, lack of access to nutritious food continues to be a significant problem [...]

He asked them questions about everything from their favorite movie to bullying in schools and told them about how government works; he asked them to all vote when they turn [...]

What happens when you pair caring volunteers with local kids and challenge them to assemble bikes? United Way's Build-A-Bike! Last week, 400 volunteers joined United Way and more than 150 local kids at Heinz Field for the sixth annual #BuildABikePgh. Each child left that day with new skills in teamwork, communication and - for many of them - their first bike they can enjoy all summer long. Thank you to everyone who made this day a success, especially the sponsors, UPMC and Northwest Bank! We are thankful for wonderful partners like United Way and the many wonderful smiles on our kids' [...]
