Remake Learning, a proud partner of Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania, is a network that ignites engaging, relevant, and equitable learning practices in support of young people navigating rapid social and technological change.

Established in 2007, Remake Learning is an open group of interconnected, creative, and innovative people and organizations in the greater Pittsburgh region with a purpose to spark and share best practices and new ideas, make it easier for neighbors and colleagues to help each other, reduce duplicative efforts in the region, and leverage resources collectively for greater impact. Upcoming Remake Learning Days

Estelle S. Campbell Clubhouse

May 10, 2021      6:00 PM – 7:00 PM

In this one hour exploring session, students will use Tinkercad to design a toy they can play with. Students will go home with a 3d printed toy, and get to see how the 3D printers work their magic! Students will begin to explore how to create in 3d space digitally. Students will follow along as they learn the tools of tinkercad – no experience needed! RSVP HERE!

Orchard Park Clubhouse

May 13, 2021    4:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Whether you have never tried STEM activities or if you are an avid lover of hands-on learning, there will be projects and games for you! Come and learn with our friends from Toyz STEAM who will be helping us to learn about making through superheroes! We will give out food and prizes while we learn! RSVP HERE!

Virtual Event

May 11, 2021    4:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Throughout this one hour virtual session with our skilled virtual teachers, you will learn the basics of scratch and begin creating your own personal game. Students will begin the class looking at some basic classic games that will inspire them to create their own. Students will share what they complete by the end of the one hour! Students will be able to continue working on their game after the class if they desire. RSVP HERE! 

Carnegie Clubhouse

May 17, 2021    5:00 PM -6:00 PM

The teens at our Carnegie Clubhouse have been building, designing, and engineering robots. They will go head to head in a 3 round competition where they will do their best to win the prize. Come in and watch and maybe even get to drive or learn about our robots! We are looking for new teen robot team members all the time. RSVP HERE! 

VIRTUAL

May 12, 2021     4:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Join our students for a virtual party! Over the past 6 months our students have been co-designing a game in collaboration with CMU’s Robotics Academy. Our students will be virtually jumping on from across our Clubhouses to celebrate their success at helping to develop a game. We will have some music, celebrate our young game-designing stars, and then send out the link for everyone to play! Join us and let’s play! RSVP HERE!
